AU PAIR PROGRAM IN CHINA
(INFORMATION FOR NEW APPLICANTS)
➢ English proficiency (it is not necessary to speak Chinese)
➢ High school diploma,
➢ Between 18-30 years old,
➢ 4 Single with no children.
➢ Application form (attached),
➢ References (attached),
➢ Criminal check,
➢ Medical check (attached),
➢ Diploma (High school or university),
➢ Passport copy,
➢ Video presentation.
➢ Between 1 - 3 minutes;
➢ MP4 file no bigger than 25MB;
➢ Your presentation should be clear and well audible, so make sure that you are recording it in a sufficiently quiet and well -lit place;
➢ Smile during the entire presentation, speak slowly and clearly;
➢ Presentation should start with greeting the host family, and then introducing yourself, saying how old you are and where you come from;
➢ Explain why you want to become an au pair and why the family should choose you as their au pair;
➢ Tell about your experience in chil dcare;
➢ In a few sentences, tell us about your family, where you live and your interests;
➢ Be yourself! Show your personality, be cheerful and enthusiastic.
➢ Provide the documents > Interview with Au Pair Shangai team > Interview with host families > Match > Visa > China
➢ Monthly allowance (1,500 RMB) – 230 American dollar aprox.
➢ 1,5 days off/week
➢ 1 week of paid vacation (for each 6 months of program)
➢ Free Mandarin lessons (twice a week)
➢ Air Ticket allowance (up to 8,000 RMB) – 1,200 american dollar aprox.
The ticket allowance according to the lenght of stay:
3 months: 1,300 RMB (paid 2 weeks before the candidate finish the contract)
6 months: 4,000 RMB (paid 2 weeks before the candidate finish the contract)
12 months: 8,000 RMB (first half paid after 6 months program, and the second
half paid 2 weeks before the candidate finish the contract).
➢ Free helath insurance.
➢ We encourage the new participants to download and install WeChat (the Chinese app). Skype is not often used in China.
➢ WeChat is really important for a person's social life in China, also the HF rather interview the candidates on the app.
